On July 1st, the 21st edition of CEP AUTO 2025 <\/strong>took place \u2014 the flagship event of the Centro Espa\u00f1ol de Pl\u00e1sticos (CEP)<\/strong>, which this year was held online via streaming.<\/p>\n

CEP Auto<\/strong> is a full-day event where solutions, success stories, and innovations <\/strong>in the field of plastic materials applied to the automotive sector <\/strong>are presented. The goal is to share experiences and innovative developments that bring sustainability <\/strong>to a constantly evolving industry.<\/p>\n

As in previous years, AGI<\/strong> participated as a speaker in this edition, presenting a case study. Jorge Serrano, industrial equipment specialist and Product Manager at AGI<\/strong>, was responsible for presenting a success story from one of our clients: NORJECT<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Norject challenge:<\/h2>\n

The presentation, titled \u201cSustainability in Motion: Innovation in the Production of Parts for the Automotive Sector\u201d<\/em><\/strong>, began with a brief introduction to the commercial relationship between AGI<\/strong> and NORJECT<\/strong>, followed by the challenge they faced: replacing a critical metal component in the braking system, which serves a sealing function, with a plastic alternative.<\/strong>
\nThis replacement had to meet the following strict requirements:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Extreme tolerance<\/li>\n
  • Durability<\/li>\n
  • Resistance to harsh environmental conditions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Once the technical requirements were defined, the importance of replacing metal with plastic <\/strong>for high-performance components was emphasized.
    \nThe project was initially developed using a hydraulic machine<\/strong>, but some process limitations arose<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    AGI’s solution:<\/h2>\n

    The solution was found by implementing a work cell composed of the FANUC ROBOSHOT iA series electric injection moulding machine <\/strong>and the WEMO 8-5 eDesign robot<\/strong>, both officially represented by AGI<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    Throughout the event, various speakers shared experiences, success stories, and developments<\/b>, covering not only plastic materials<\/b> but also the application of state-of-the-art technologies <\/b>and machinery,<\/b> including additive manufacturing<\/b>.<\/p>\n
